And at TWE, we never let a wellness awareness month pass us by. Join us on Saturday, February 13, for Healthy Heart, Happy Mind, an afternoon of dance, yoga, cooking, and discussion centered around heart health.
We’ll hear from Dr. Marc Watkins, Chief Medical Officer for the Kroger Co, Colleen Lindholz, President of Kroger Health, and Amelia Noel, Kroger Registered Dietitian, on building a healthy breakfast with Kellogg’s Raisin Bran.
All of our events include an exercise segment, and this one is no different. Dancing superstar Cheryl Burke, veteran of 23 seasons of Dancing with the Stars, teaches you to listen to your body and move, in an easy-to-follow, fun fitness session.
Everyone knows Yoga is good for calming you down, and being calm is good for your heart. Riva Gdanski, certified yoga and pilates instructor, leads a 20 minute reset and recovery yoga class, sponsored by Vita Coco.
Kroger Registered Dietitian, Ashley Martinez returns with a couple of cooking demos using products easily found in Kroger – Laura’s Lean and Prego.
Athletic Brewing Company sits down with Danny Stepper and Bonnie Shah of LA Libations to talk retail disruption and the future of healthy beverages.
Between presentations, we’ll hear tips and stats from the American Heart Association, and to wrap up the event, Jewel will lead a calming meditation, and close the day with some final thoughts and music.
As with all our virtual events, this one is completely free. All you have to do is register. Then, the day of the event, just sit back, log on, and learn.
Special thanks to our sponsors American Greetings, P&G, Pepsi, Athletic Brewing, Rise Cold Brew, Laura’s Lean, Vita Coco, Kelloggs, Bodyarmor, and of course, Kroger.
