Kathy Ruminsky has been with Abbott Nutrition for nineteen years and currently serves as senior manager in therapeutic nutrition marketing leading external engagement strategies for professional associations and peer to peer educational programming. Kathy was previously the manager of health care education within the Abbott Nutrition Health Institute leading the execution of continuing education programs. Kathy also has worked in the Consumer Relations Department as the quality coordinator covering both adult and pediatric product areas. Kathy also served as manager of regulatory affairs, global product innovation, in which she provided guidance for the use of new ingredients and promotional claims for adult and pediatric nutritional products world-wide. Prior to working in regulatory, Kathy supported the diabetes category and provided medical and scientific support for the use, design, and marketing of the diabetes product line. Kathy also worked as a clinical dietitian at Ohio State Hospitals East, where she provided inpatient clinical assessments for ICU, general medicine, oncology, orthopedic, family practice and substance abuse recovery floors. Throughout her career, Kathy has focused her research on nutrition, including work with NASA to develop a menu for extended duration space missions. Kathy has led and participated in numerous educational events focused on nutrition intervention with multi-disciplinary audiences. In 2000, Kathy received her bachelor of science degree in dietetics at Bowling Green State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Kathy holds a master of science degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed her dietetic internship at University Hospitals of Cleveland in 2001. Kathy completed her MBA at the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University in 2019 and is currently a student coach within the Fisher College of Business.
